Mr. Ron Rector, K-8 music director, led his musicians as they performed a variety of Christmas songs. The 6th grade band played three songs, including Jingle Bells. That performance was followed by the 7th and 8th grade band playing Saint Nick’s March, Go Tell It On The Mountain and A Rollickin’ Christmas. Mr. Matt Breithaupt, the 9-12 music director, then had the high school choir sing two songs, one of them accompanied by accomplished student pianist, Saffa Yafai, before the Pierce High School Band came on the stage to perform two musical pieces. One of the two final songs included both the high school band and the middle school bands playing a song together. For the grand finale, the high school choir sang in conjunction with the high school band. The performance was enjoyed by a large gathering in the high school auditorium.
