Valentine Tea Tradition at Grand Island Continues

Parents, grandparents, community members and school administration were treated to sugary treats and coffee or tea served by the fifth and sixth grade girls after they were escorted by the fifth and sixth grade boys to beautifully decorated tables. Guests were then entertained by the students singing songs and playing xylophones under the direction of music teacher, Ron Rector. Following the performance, students who had created Valentine boxes walked through the crowd displaying their creative works. The audience used ballots to vote for their top three choices from each of the classrooms. It was a delightful event.
