“When you make better choices, you live a better life” was the message Mister Brown brought to Johnson Junior High students upon their return to school in January. With the beginning of the new year still fresh, students gathered together to listen to Mister Brown and how their choices, treatment of others and effort put forth in their classes affect every aspect of their lives and future. With a mixture of humor, heart touching, and sometimes serious stories, Mister Brown demonstrated how the one thing students have complete control over- their attitude- can change their life for the better. The assembly was hosted by Gear Up and our advisor Mrs. Voorhees was instrumental in bringing this special assembly to our school. Mister Brown will return for a follow up visit in the Spring and we are excited to continue his message of positivity in our classrooms, on campus and with the choices we make as a school.
